The thing I (Mark) had a hard time learning was to stop focusing on the problem – I was raised to focus on what was happening, the problem, first. The temptation is to focus on the problem, thing or situation that’s trying to get me to fear, to take my eyes off God, to not trust God. I needed to learn to focus on God, first. This is the first part of victory in the Lord.
Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn (Edits mine)
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Oh no, not a flat tire! Oh no…”
Wait, back up. “God has said He’ll work all things together for my good so, somehow, He’s going to work this flat tire for my good. Thank You, Lord, for Your promises.”
God bless,
Mark
