Below are a couple of quotes from the first few pages of “The Bondage Breaker” book by Dr. Neil T. Anderson. Neil is the founder of Freedom In Christ Ministries. Here’s his site link:
“Before we received Christ, we were slaves to sin. Now, because of Christ’s work on the cross, sin’s power over us has been broken. Satan has no right of ownership or authority over us. He is a defeated foe, but he is committed to keeping us from realizing that. The father of lies can block your effectiveness as a Christian if he can deceive you into believing that you are nothing but a product of your past – subject to sin, prone to failure, and controlled by your habits.”

People are in bondage to the lies they believe. That is why Jesus said, “You will know the truth (Jesus’ truth as opposed to Satan’s lies), and the truth (Jesus) will make you free” (John 8:32).”

Wow, it’s amazing how many lies we can believe during any given day, week, month…lifetime. I’m reading “The Bondage Breaker” by Dr. Neil T. Anderson. In the book, Neil discusses how the enemy’s deception and lies (darkness) bring us into bondage and how Jesus’ truth (The light) sets us free. I’ve only read the first few pages of the book and was reading some of it to my wife this morning when she said, “Wow, that’s so good that we need to order some copies for friends.” Yep, Neil’s book is that good – gets right to the point and makes you want to “do” what he points out. He also offers a DVD and workbook with his “The Bondage Breaker” series. Ann and I have already gone through a lot of The Bondage Breaker DVD and workbook (Pricing is good, too). I can honestly tell you, at first, I didn’t think going through the workbook would change anything in my life. After listing a number of things in one section and praying the prayer Neil includes, I woke up the next morning completely free from any oppression in a specific area. No kidding. I was really surprised and grateful.
