My wife’s father was an alcoholic. I really believe Satan has many Christians today thinking they can dabble with alcohol and handle it. Many are using alcohol to give them some relief instead of relying on the peace of Jesus.
Regarding the Bible’s warning and command to not be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2), but rather to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, my wife has a good saying, “If the world’s doing it, I probably should stay far away from it.” This applies to many things the world is trapped by today…
I hope you’ll watch this short, and really important video on drinking. It’s one of the best I’ve seen on this matter that’s overtaking the church.
