Heaven

When we arrive in Heaven, one day, it’s going to be incredible to hear Jesus say to us –

His lord said unto him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant:  thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things:  enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Matthew 25:21

The other day, it hit me that people are in Heaven right now.  They’re there with Jesus.  Right now.  That’s fun to think on for a while…

Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever…

Please be sure to take time to think about eternity in Heaven.  Doing so really ministers to our souls.

God bless,

Mark
Victory in Jesus lyric taken from “Victory in Jesus” Christian hymn by Eugene Bartlett

Heaven

1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.  He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.  3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

4 John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia:  Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever!  Amen.

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be!  Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

9 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.  10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,  11 which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches:  to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me.  And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest.  14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.  15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.  16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.  Then he placed his right hand on me and said:  “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.  18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!  And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

19 “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.
Revelation 1:1-19

Heaven

I know this isn’t the typical Heavenly Friday email, but Ann and I were so surprised by the insights the Holy Spirit showed us about in one of our daily devotionals today that I had to write about it.  God is setting us free and we want to share it with all who have ears to hear.

“So Heavenly-minded that you’re no earthly good.”  Wow, what a lie mankind has swallowed.

What lie(s) has and keeps you bound?  Will you do whatever it takes to get honest with yourself?  With God?

Every day, we choose life or death, Heaven or hell. It’s true.  I know it is because God intervened in my life and showed me the difference my choices were making.  I could keep living with the torment and oppression of the devil’s lies, or I could step out of that prison and into God’s light.  I was so miserable and wiped out from living under the lies the enemy had planted in me that I was not going to be able to go on with life.  Thankfully, God knew what it would take to get me to look up, to do anything to get to Him.  God began to remove the fog of deception I was living in and under.

Am I willing to stay bound?  Wow, I don’t think so.  Not since I’ve tasted some of the freedom Christ has shown me.  One word stood in the way of me being set free.  Willing.  Satan will do everything to keep us from “willing.”

I didn’t think the sin I was living with was that big of a deal until God began to set me free.  I think that’s how it is for most of us.

Boy, to be carnally-minded really hit home to us this morning during our devotional time.  Satan has us so focused on the things of earth and has us captive in generational strongholds and harmful behaviors that we don’t have time to be Heavenly-minded.  We’re so fooled that we’ll even defend our carnally-trapped lives – This is how I was and I know it can be true of any of us.  Pastor John Courson was so right when he said, “We’re no earthly good until we become Heavenly-minded.”  Adam and Eve sinned and suddenly looked at themselves.  Their focus came off Heaven and their Father, the liberty they enjoyed in Him.  Now, their attention was enslaved to satan’s kingdom of carnality with all its wickedness, all the lies he’s made sure we continue to live with that are choking us off, dividing us, killing us.  I’m not even able to write down all of the thoughts the Holy Spirit’s giving us about this.  It goes so deep.

We need to get back to our Heavenly relationship with our Father.  We need to come to God and ask His help to show us all the baggage we’ve been duped into carrying that’s weighing us down.  Jesus died to set us free so His truth, His way, and His life could set us free, indeed. “Jesus, I don’t want to live bound.  I want to be free, I want to go back to Eden, to You.  Interrupt my life to the point that I want You and so that I’ll be willing to do whatever it takes to depart from whatever has me bound.  Help me by showing me how I’ve been deceived.  Show me all the knots and lies that have kept me from seeing You and all you have for me as Your child.  Oh, dear Jesus, stop at nothing until I’m willing to let go of the carnality operating in me.  Clothe me in Your righteousness, Your right living that will so set me free that my strength will be renewed like the eagles.  Make me look up, Jesus, to all that You have for me.  I want You more than anything.”

Life’s all about getting back to the glorious liberty Jesus can give us by looking up if we’re willing to be set free by being transformed by getting back to being Heavenly-minded.

Heavenly Friday

After preparing a home for His bride, Jesus comes for His bride (the church on earth) as a thief in the night in the Bible.  The groom often surprised his bride by his unexpected or early return.  All Jewish brides were said to be “stolen, caught up, or snatched up by surprise.”  It was all a part of the excitement of being a bride…

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  Be on guard! Be alert!  You do not know when that time will come.
Mark 13:32-33

Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder:  “Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.  Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him.  For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.
She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.”  For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.  And the angel said to me, “Write this:  Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.”  And he added, “These are true words that come from God.”
Revelation 19:6-9

Take time to think about Jesus coming for you, His bride, this weekend.  Pretty exciting times we’re living in.

Heaven: Look Up

This depicted picture of Heaven is why God tells us to look up in Matthew chapter 24. ☺

Heaven is SO beautiful.  And seeing it will be just the beginning.  Our understanding of God’s love and relationship with us and each other will be taken to new levels that are beyond our comprehension on earth.

Have a nice, Heavenly weekend looking up more and more…

Heaven

Look up!  We win!

So much is going on these days regarding end times events and, as Jesus said would occur, the end times events are really speeding up.  Jesus also told us to look up when we see these things begin to take place – Matthew chapter 24.  We’re way past “begin” and on our way to Heaven.  Praise God!

Be sure to protect your heart by “looking up.”  Looking up to Jesus and Heaven keeps us from being weighed down with earthly things and brings great encouragement and joy.  Hallelujah!

Thank you, Jesus, for being our ark in these last days as our redemption draws nearer and nearer.

Jesus and Heaven

Jesus died on the cross to take away the sins of the world.  It was a necessary sacrifice.

But then, He arose – The resurrection makes all the difference in the world…He’s alive and I’m forgiven, Heaven’s gates are open wide.

11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying.  As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”  14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?  Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.  Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news:  “I have seen the Lord!”  And she told them that he had said these things to her.
John 20:11-18

Happy Easter to all who know Him!

Heavenly Minded

Yep, it’s Heavenly Friday. ☺

Ever since God told me to keep my mind on Heaven so my mind, emotions and spirit won’t get bogged down with the “things of earth,” I’ve been attempting to renew my mind by trading concerns in this life for the joy that awaits us in Heaven – God told me to live in this life like I’m already in Heaven.  This greatly helps me to keep things in their proper perspective.  I get tempted (the devil loves it when I do) to give into earthly fears and conditions like anyone else, but God keeps bringing me back to Him, His promises, His love, and the glory of the Heavenly realm.  I love to keep looking up.  Brings my redemption (Jesus) into every situation and gives me His wonderful, everlasting hope and joy.  Now that’s victory!

Keep Jesus and Heaven on your mind.  It’s so good for you.  Frees you from the trappings of this temporary existence.

We’re going home, forever.  Yipee!

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!  For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.”
Revelation 19:6

Steve DeNoon (And some others) – “Billy Graham will pass away right before the rapture.”

We’ll see…

Wow, so much talk today about the rapture, the end times heating up with Russian and Iran moving into Syria and so close to Israel’s northern border, and evil increasing around the world.  It’s certainly a good time to know Christ as our Savior.  As the Bible clearly states, God is lining up the nations against Israel so He can show the whole earth that He alone is God, and that there is no other.

Heaven’s coming right up.  Keep looking up to Jesus and Heaven.

Worship in Heaven

4 Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast.  The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”  2 And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.  3 The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian.  And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.  4 Twenty-four thrones surrounded him, and twenty-four elders sat on them.  They were all clothed in white and had gold crowns on their heads.  5 From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder.  And in front of the throne were seven torches with burning flames.  This is the sevenfold Spirit of God.  6 In front of the throne was a shiny sea of glass, sparkling like crystal.

In the center and around the throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and back.  7 The first of these living beings was like a lion; the second was like an ox; the third had a human face; and the fourth was like an eagle in flight.  8 Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered all over with eyes, inside and out.  Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—
the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

9 Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever), 10 the twenty-four elders fall down and worship the one sitting on the throne (the one who lives forever and ever).  And they lay their crowns before the throne and say,

11
“You are worthy, O Lord our God,
to receive glory and honor and power.
For you created all things,
and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

The Lamb (Jesus) Opens the Scroll

5 Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who was sitting on the throne.  There was writing on the inside and the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals.  2 And I saw a strong angel, who shouted with a loud voice:  “Who is worthy to break the seals on this scroll and open it?”  3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll and read it.

4 Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it.  5 But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping!  Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory.  He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

6 Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders.  He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth.  7 He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne.  8 And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb.  Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.  9 And they sang a new song with these words:

“You are worthy to take the scroll
and break its seals and open it.
For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10And you have caused them to become
a Kingdom of priests for our God.
And they will reign on the earth.”

11 Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders.  12 And they sang in a mighty chorus:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—
to receive power and riches
and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and blessing.”

13 And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea.  They sang:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.”

14 And the four living beings said, “Amen!”  And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb.
Revelation Chapters 4-5

Truly, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—
the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

Heaven And Jesus, And What Will It Be Like There?

I had such a good time the other day talking with Judy, the receptionist, at my wife’s work place.  Pretty Judy is so precious.

Judy and I spoke about Jesus, how wonderful and faithful He is; how we love hugs; how we’re learning what the Apostle Paul learned when he wrote “I’ve learned to be content in whatsoever state (condition or situation) I’m in (Philippians 4:11),” and that Paul could do all things through Christ who gave him strength (Philippians 4:13); that we can truly learn to be anxious for nothing, and that we are becoming better at unloading our cares by casting all our cares on Him.  We talked about Heaven and how, no matter how we try to understand what it will be like, it will be far beyond our wildest imagination and dreams – and, mainly, because Jesus will be there and that, as His bride, we will be His, forevermore.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Heaven – It’s What This Life Is All About

One thing we keep seeing is that if we keep following Jesus, or we refuse to keep following Jesus, the devil is still going to attempt to take us out.  So, we may as well keep running after Jesus with all our might. ☺

Boy, Ann and I have been getting really hit lately with spiritual attacks.  Fear, doubt, confusion, and discouragement have been trying to sidetrack us.  We think it’s because God’s speaking to us about some new web page ideas to reach more people with “coming out of the darkness” and into God’s marvelous light.  The attacks have been pretty relentless for about two weeks now.  The really exciting thing is that God’s loving us through it all by giving us new insights and by reminding us of what we’ve learned from others.  For example, when Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn followed the Lord’s lead to go to Cuba, Africa, and India a few years ago, he says all hell came against his ministry.  They lost some money, their airline tickets, got attacked with discouragement, had parts of the airplane’s engine fall off, their lives threatened numerous times, etc.  All the time, God kept prompting Jonathan to keep walking against the darkness that was coming against him and his ministry and Jonathan saw God’s deliverance time and time again.  As a result, Jonathan encourages others to keep going with God, especially when the darkness is heavy and scaring you to retreat. ☺

It’s becoming more and more obvious to us all the time that this life is all about Heaven and telling as many people as we can about how God can bring them out of the darkness into His liberating, life-giving and life-sustaining light.

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Matthew 25:21 NIV

“Well done, faithful servant.”  It’s going to be so wonderful to hear those words from Jesus in Heaven.

Onward and upward…☺

25 See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.

26 “So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look.  Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it!  27 For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.  28 Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.

29 “Immediately after the anguish (tribulation) of those days,

the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth.  And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.

32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree.  When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near.  33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.  34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place.
Matthew 24:25-34

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (not go ahead of) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17

Please take time to think about being with Jesus in Heaven this weekend. It’s so good to “look up.”

And, All The Time, God Is Good…

Such a fun song.  It’s so fun that I put it on “Loop” and play it nearly all day long.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psalm 19:1

God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.

No matter what our day may be like, every day we walk with God He’s working His great grace, mercy, peace, rest and joy into our lives.  He’s always redeeming us, dear ones.  Always…

We get to live this life with God changing us from glory to glory and then we get to live with Him forever in Heaven.  Amazing.

Take time to think about your glorious life in Heaven this weekend.  Jesus was born into this world to bring us back to the blessed life we enjoyed with the Father in Eden.  And, He came to open the gates of Heaven to us.

Thank you, Jesus.
